Hargreaves Lansdown co-founder Peter Hargreaves is to step down from the board of the wealth business with immediate effect.
Hargreaves co-founded the platform with Stephen Lansdown in 1981 but will now step back from the board to focus on "outside interests". He will remain an employee of the business, the FTSE 100-listed company said in a stock exchange announcement on 14 April. Hargreaves remains the largest single shareholder in the business, holding a 32% stake as of February 2015, according to S&P Capital IQ.
