Barings multi-asset manager James Ind departs

Baring Asset Management's multi-asset manager James Ind has left the firm after two years, Professional Adviser's sister title Investment Week understands.

Ind (pictured) joined the firm in September 2015 from GLG Partners to develop a long-short strategy for the firm, which resulted in the launch of the Dynamic Absolute Return fund in June 2016. Prior to this, he worked at Russell Investments and Julius Baer. Ind and colleague Merrick Styles were both hired to replace multi-asset fund manager Hartwig Kos, who left the firm in 2015 to join Syz Asset Management as co-head of multi-asset and vice CIO.
