The Investment Association (IA) has appointed four directors to its board, including Brooks Macdonald chief executive Caroline Connellan and Columbia Threadneedle Investments CEO, EMEA, Michelle Scrimgeour.
In a move which doubles the female representation on the board from 20% to 40%, it has also appointed Newton Investment Management CEO Hanneke Smits as well as Dan Watkins, COO, EMEA at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. They will replace four retiring board members; Quilter CEO Paul Feeney, Janus Henderson CEO Andrew Formica, Legal & General Investment Management CEO Mark Zinkula and Andrew Laing, joint-head of integration at Aberdeen Standard Investments.
