Corporate sentiment at lowest since 2016 - Fidelity Analyst Survey

Analysts still cautiously optimistic

Global corporate sentiment has dropped to its lowest level since 2016, according to Fidelity International's latest annual Analyst Survey, dropping from a high level of optimism last year.

The indicator has fallen from 1.6 points last year to 0.6 in this year's survey, marking the sharpest drop since the survey's inception in 2011. The survey is conducted by Fidelity's global analyst team on an annual basis, collecting data from around 16,000 individual company meetings until a big picture emerges. This year's drop in sentiment comes as a third of analysts globally have reported their sectors are in slowdown or recession, compared to just 13% last year.
