While majority of savers hold two or more pension pots, the majority are unlikely to consolidate these without the intervention of advice, iPipeline and Retirement Review research shows.
A report titled The State of The Nation's Financial Future - published today (8 November) - considered the current state of the UK's pension savings with a key focus on savers' interaction with advisers and opportunities for more advice in the pension saving journey. A total 57% of respondents to the research confirmed they had two or more pension pots, with iPipeline noting "a need for advice around consolidation". However, only 23% of those aged 44-66 with multiple pots are likely to consolidate them into a more efficient single vehicle in the next three years, the research showed. ...
