All financial services businesses should work to become menopause-friendly as it makes business sense to retain top female talent, delegates heard.

Speaking at the Personal Investment Management & Financial Advice Association (PIMFA) Women's Symposium yesterday (16 April), Henpicked founder Deborah Garlick said one in ten women going through menopause left their jobs – a situation she described as "tragic". Garlick, a former IFA who now runs the menopause workplace education and training organisation, said employers should work toward establishing a menopause-friendly workplace both to retain top female talent and reduce spending on recruitment to replace lost employees.
