Saltus buys Lowes Financial Management

‘Greater negotiation clout’ and tech investment cited as deal drivers

Saltus has bought Newcastle-based Lowes Financial Management, adding approximately £1bn of assets under advice.

In an update for clients shared on Lowes' website, Ian Lowes, who had served as managing director from 2002, confirmed that the pair of firms had "recently agreed a merger". Ian Lowes said he would be stepping down after 23 years, with the firm's current management team led by Lowes commercial director Barry Hopper and Lowes operations director Claire Lockey to "take the business forward" alongside Saltus management "under the Lowes/Saltus banner".
