I attended a pensions and divorce workshop in London last week. It made a nice change to be going somewhere as a delegate rather than having to speak!
I also like leaving the course notes strategically positioned at home just to keep the current Mrs Morrison on her toes! The majority of the audience was solicitors and barristers with a few IFAs, a few actuaries and a couple of insurance company types, including me. The entire day was interesting and brought out many of the intricacies of financial planning for divorce. The workshop focused on some of the legal principles and actuarial issues that need to be understood.
