It’s exam time again. As a recent joiner to the financial services world, I have tagged along on a journey many others are making to improve our qualifications. But it is not that we have much choice if we are to continue in the same roles. And therein lies a lot of heated debate: one that I am glad I do not have to vote upon, since I have sympathies on both sides. Advisers who have successfully advised for years but who are unwilling to sit the exams will be limited, at the very least, in their ability to serve their clients.
