Axa is considering allowing small firms access to its Self Investor service, which lets advisers provide a restricted direct-to-consumer proposition to clients.
The service is currently only available to large advisory firms with 25,000 or more clients, but a pilot scheme will explore the feasibility of allowing small firms access to Self Investor. It offers access to a range of 170 funds, including Axa's Architas multi-manger range. A spokesperson for Axa said the service "is first and foremost an investment service that complements an intermediary's existing proposition, to provide a solution for those clients who may not prove profitable in a post-RDR world".
