Advisers 'must boost growth' with client recommendations

Phil Bray highlights importance of leveraging referrals as a cornerstone of success

The Yardstick founder and director Phil Bray has described client recommendations as “a valuable asset” for financial advisers.

Speaking at the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment's (CISI) Financial Planning Conference 2023, Bray explained that recommendations are the only source of inquiry that advisers "have complete control over". "These recommendations not only convert clients into advocates but also play a pivotal role in driving growth, enhancing efficiency, improving profit margins, and reducing reliance on other marketing avenues," he told delegates.
