‘It can’t be forced on them’; ‘Some elderly clients still prefer paper’

While a majority of advisers agree they would like all elements of the advice process and all communications to be completely paper-free, many say they would be concerned for elderly clients.

In last week's PA Asks, 49% of advisers signalled they wanted every part of the advice process to be paper free, including communications with clients and communication with providers. This came ahead of 44% of respondents who confirmed they would not want this and 7% of responses that were unsure. One pundit said it would be "ideal" for the advice process to be paperless but had a caveat as well.
