The new Digital Information and Smart Data Bill is said to be beneficial for the advice industry, according to Scottish Widows.
Confirmed in the King's Speech on 17 July, the Bill aims to use data "innovatively" to be safely developed and deployed. It will also look to make public services work better by reforming data sharing and standards and ensure data is protected by giving the Information Commissioner's Office "new, stronger powers and a more modern structure".
